Jones of Tioga, RD 2, died on Saturday, May 22, 1982 at his home. Mr. Jones was born August 19, 1916 in Tioga township the son of Charles G. and Elizabeth Cumming Jones. He was formerly a member of the Campbell, N.Y. Milk Producers Co-op. He was also a member of the Tioga Grange. He was a retired dairy farmer and a Middlebury Center Agway Committeeman. He attended the Jackson Summit Baptist Church. He is survived by wife Mary Button Jones; 3 daughters Mrs. Edward (Betty) Haslund of Elkland, Mrs. Richard (Mary Jane) Smith of Forksville, Miss Sharon Jones at home; 4 sons, Richard, Raymond E. and Garry all of Granby, Conn., Donald of Tioga RD 2; 2 brother Clifford and Charles both of Tioga; one sister Mrs. Lawrence (Marjorie) Russell of Lawrenceville; and 18 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Kuhl Funeral Home at Mansfield with the Rev. Douglas Hodge officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Tioga. Those wishing, may make donations in his memory to the Guthrie Clinic at Sayre. Submitted by Connie Hatch. |
