Dec 3, 2019 Update
On Dec 3rd I had a review with the surgeon. After some debate, he concluded to delay the operation for another week. I'm now scheduled for Dec 11th. This time it is unlikely there will be any additional delay. Swelling has diminished but the area around the ankle is still a bit tight. The surgeon has developed a structural plan for the operation that includes a plate and rod along with screws to assemble the set.
So, I wait an additional week and hope for a skinny ankle.
